At JobTask UK LTD & CANDSLimited, the safety of our employees, contractors, customers, and the public is our highest priority. We are fully committed to providing all services in a safe, professional, and responsible manner, in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER), and other relevant legislation.
 
Our Equipment Policy
 
We maintain a comprehensive inventory of high-quality, regularly inspected, and well-maintained equipment necessary to carry out the full range of jobs and services we offer. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Lifting and handling tools
  • Protective gear
  • Vehicles fitted with appropriate restraints and safety features
  • Specialist moving and transportation equipment

All equipment is subject to regular safety checks, servicing, and risk assessments to ensure it remains fit for purpose and compliant with current safety standards.

Safe Execution of Services
 
Our trained and competent staff only undertake tasks for which we have the appropriate equipment, expertise, and safe systems of work in place. We conduct thorough risk assessments and method statements for every job to identify hazards and implement suitable control measures, thereby minimising risks and preventing accidents or injuries.
 
Items We Do Not Move
 
For safety reasons and to comply with our internal risk management policies, we do not undertake the movement of grand pianos using our own staff and standard equipment. Grand pianos present significant weight, balance, and handling risks that fall outside our standard operational capabilities.
 
However, where a customer specifically requests the relocation of a grand piano, we can arrange for fully qualified and insured specialist contractors to carry out this work on the customer’s behalf. Any such arrangement will be clearly agreed in writing, with costs and responsibilities transparently communicated in advance.
 
Hiring Additional Equipment or Contractors
 
In the rare event that a particular job requires specialised equipment beyond our extensive in-house inventory, we will source and hire suitable additional equipment from reputable, accredited suppliers. This ensures that the work can be completed safely and to our usual high standards without compromise.
 
All hired equipment is inspected upon arrival and integrated into our existing safe systems of work. Similarly, any third-party contractors engaged on our behalf are vetted for competence, insurance, and adherence to health and safety standards.
 
Our Commitment
 
We continually invest in equipment, training, and processes to maintain the highest levels of safety and service quality. We will never undertake work where we cannot guarantee the safety of those involved.
 
This statement forms part of our broader Health and Safety Policy and is reviewed annually or following any significant changes to our operations.
