Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Date of Statement: 02 January 2026

Company: JobTask UK LTD & CANDSLimited
Website: www.jobtask.co.uk

At JobTask, – we are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly, ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation have no place in our operations or supply chains. This statement is published in accordance with Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our actions for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. As a company we promote transparency and human rights. This aligns with international standards such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and recent 2025 EU updates under the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), which emphasize enhanced supply chain accountability.

Our Business and Supply Chains JobTask UK LTD is a service providing company and CANDSLimited is a Homeware, a child company to JobTask UK LTD headquartered in the United Kingdom with operations across the UK and many various regions across the globe. We employ approximately 3 – 25 staff and work with a network of suppliers, contractors, and partners worldwide. Our supply chains involve procurement of goods and services such as raw materials, IT equipment, logistics, and professional services. We categorize suppliers by risk level based on geography, industry, and labor practices, with high-risk areas including manufacturing in developing regions.

Our Policies on Modern Slavery

We maintain robust policies to combat modern slavery:

  • Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy: Prohibits any form of exploitation, including debt bondage, child labor, or involuntary servitude. All employees and suppliers must adhere to this, with zero-tolerance for violations.
  • Human Rights Policy: Integrates respect for workers’ rights, fair wages, and safe working conditions, compliant with ILO conventions.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: Requires suppliers to uphold ethical labor standards, undergo audits, and report any incidents. Non-compliance may result in contract termination.
  • Whistleblower Policy: Encourages anonymous reporting of concerns to us confidentially, with protections against retaliation.

These policies are reviewed randomly or annually and approved by our Board of Directors.

Due Diligence Processes

We conduct thorough due diligence to identify and mitigate risks:
  • Supplier Onboarding: New suppliers complete self-assessments and provide evidence of labor compliance (e.g., certifications like SEDEX or Fair Trade).
  • Audits and Assessments: We perform risk-based audits, including on-site visits for high-risk suppliers (e.g., those in regions with known labor issues like Southeast Asia). In 2025, we audited 75% of our tier-1 suppliers.
  • Contractual Obligations: All contracts include clauses mandating anti-slavery compliance and rights to inspect records.
  • Collaboration: We partner with different companies and organizations and use tools such as the Slavery & Trafficking Risk Template (STRT) for evaluations.

Risk Assessment and Management

Modern slavery risks are assessed through:

  • Annual Risk Mapping: Identifying high-risk areas based on indices like the Global Slavery Index 2025, which highlights vulnerabilities in supply chains affected by geopolitical events.
  • Mitigation Strategies: For identified risks, we implement action plans, such as diversifying suppliers or providing remediation funds. In the past year, we addressed two low-level risks by enhancing supplier training.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Using AI-driven tools for supply chain visibility, we track indicators like unusual labor patterns.

No instances of modern slavery were identified in our operations or supply chains during the reporting period, but we remain vigilant.

Training and Awareness

To build capacity:

  • All employees receive mandatory annual training on recognizing modern slavery signs, with specialized modules for procurement and HR teams.
  • Suppliers are offered free webinars and resources on ethical practices.
  • In 2025, 95%+ of staff completed training.

Measuring Effectiveness

We track progress through KPIs such as audit completion rates, training participation, and incident reports. An independent review is conducted biennially, with results informing improvements.

Safe Procedures to Reduce Mistakes and Ensure Safety

In addition to combating modern slavery, we prioritize health and safety procedures to minimize errors, protect workers, and foster a secure environment across our operations and supply chains. These measures reduce operational mistakes (e.g., procedural errors) and enhance overall safety, aligning with our ethical commitments under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Risk Assessment Protocols: Regular hazard identification and risk evaluations are conducted at all sites, including supplier facilities, to preempt safety issues. This includes ergonomic assessments to prevent repetitive strain injuries and reduce human error.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Detailed, documented SOPs for all tasks ensure consistency and minimize mistakes. These are digitized for easy access and include checklists, visual aids, and error-proofing techniques (e.g., poka-yoke methods like automated alerts).
  • Training and Competency Programs: Employees and suppliers undergo safety training, including simulations for high-risk activities (e.g., handling equipment). Refresher courses focus on common errors, with competency checks to verify understanding.
  • Incident Reporting and Learning: A no-blame culture encourages reporting of near-misses or errors via our digital platform. Root cause analyses (e.g., using 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams) lead to corrective actions, reducing recurrence by an average of 20% annually.
  • Safety Equipment and Technology: Provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adoption of technologies like AI monitoring for fatigue detection or automated safety gates to prevent accidents.
  • Emergency Response Plans: Site-specific plans include drills, first-aid training, and clear evacuation procedures, tested quarterly.
  • Wellbeing Initiatives: Mental health support and workload management to prevent burnout-related errors, including flexible hours and access to counselling.
  • Supplier Safety Integration: We require suppliers to adopt similar procedures, verified through audits, ensuring safety extends throughout our chain.

These procedures are audited annually, with metrics like incident rates tracked in our sustainability reports. This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors and is active. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and welcome shareholders feedback.
